Android 8.1 beta is released with support for Google Pixel 2 imaging chip
The tech giant Google has released the final preview build of android 8.1, it is an small update to android oreo which is due out next month. The update itself then have much features, but there is one big update coming for Pixel 2 users which is the activation of “visual core”.
This Visual Core is an imaging chip Google introduced #pixel 2 but it wasn’t ready at the time of its launch. So, the chip was sitting dormant but with this new update it will finally get activated so that the developers can start to play with it and configure their apps accordingly.
It will allow the camera apps to use Google’s own HDR + and it is expected it will speed things up in camera apps. For those users who wants to try this new update there can do it right away by clicking on this following link Google’s beta program.
This update is not recommended for those users who uses their phones daily and heavily as this update might contain some bugs. But if you are a developer this is a great name for you to try this new update. This update will be released widely in December.
